2011 Festival & Young Ringers Conferences
Hey, We Did it! It was Great!

(Practicing in the Arena!)
And if you were not there, we missed you!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Thanks to our
Festival Conference Director Debbie Rice
and
Young Ringers Festival Director Ron Bellamy
for their tremendous effort in pulling together
the combined talents of over 500 ringers at the two events!
Both events were very successful, entertaining,
educational and fulfilling!
And, without question, thanks to all the Area 2 Board Members, Staff, Volunteers, Educators and
Clinicians for all the work they contributed in making this year's events such a success.

2011 Festival Conference - Facebook Announcement
|
Glory Be! Did we make a Goof! An announcement was made at the 2011 Festival
Conference that a new page had been created on Facebook for those who are
Facebook members. However, the URL needed to get to that page was not
announced or distributed. Our Bad!
|
|
If you are interested in visiting that page, you can navigate to the
launcher by clicking on the orange link at the bottom of this home page
"Area 2 External Network Linkage Services (e.g. Facebook, etc)". Just follow
the path and you will be transported to the appropriate site!

Do We Make a Difference? You Bet We Do!
Sometime, after spending so much of our personal time, effort and yes – money, we wonder
whether the work we have done has had any impact at all. Certainly, that is one
factor that causes each of us to hesitate when asked to contribute to
Area 2 Board positions and activities. But if you think that way, that there
is little return for the effort, that no one really cares, then we challenge you to think again.
For the past five years, Area 2 has been sponsoring efforts to make use of handchimes in Romania.
This past summer, members of Area 2 re-visited Romania and this past Christmas season, we
were rewarded with a video of the choir at the Brad Christian Center practicing with the chimes.
You can see this video clip by
clicking on this link,
And the next
time you are called on to help, think about this and say "Yes”. Believe us,
it is all worth it!
